Make it to Africa

It takes 3,236 miles to walk from our office in Manchester to our Child Protection Project in Calabar, Nigeria. Take a look at some of our supporters from around the world and their personal fundraising adventures as they help us make the 3236-mile distance.

Laura: 10K

Laura decided to take on a personal challenge of running the Great Manchester Run in May raising £78.00.  Laura did a terrific job by tackling the run in pouring rain but she says it was worth it! We also enjoyed keeping up with Laura training and the event itself through her Instagram updates.

Lancaster Lane School: On-going

Not only have the pupils of Lancaster Lane been working on a scrap book of their school to share with our school in Nigeria the staff team have been busy too. Collectively they are walking as many miles as possible to help us ‘Make it to Africa’.

This is from their first walk in April.

Kit: 100 miles

A committed supporter of ours – even all the way in the USA - Kit decided to take on the challenge and pledge 100 miles by walking 5 miles each day till she reached her goal. Kit battling through blisters raised a terrific £600.00 for Safe Child Africa.

And we loved Kit’s idea of taking a photo from her walk each day. Kit also has a interesting Facebook page full of stories, information and associated news related to witches. Kit also kindly donates £1 for every like her Facebook page receives, so check it out here
